Hated everything about this place and wished I did not waste my $350 a night on this hotel. The service is the WORST service I have ever had to pay for. They are rude and ignorant. If you are looking to stay here, don't, there are several other hotels on this street that the service and the amenities are 100% better, Blue Waters, & the Red Jacket Riviera are so much better. I have stayed at most all the hotels on this street and really enjoyed them except for this one. First, when we arrived, we waited in line to check in, when I got to the desk, I said Hello, no response. Name? told her my name, she then said "you owe $50 dollars. Nice greeting don't you think. I said I don't think so I paid in full in advance. She said rudely, it is for incidentals, but no explanation. I then said when I called for my reservation I asked about the late check out policy and they told me to check when I checked in. She said you have to come and check the night before you leave. I did and got another come back in the morning. I said can't anyone just explain the policy to me, she said we will in the morning . Went back the morning of check out and another woman rudely said we only have to 12? I said can I pay for a late check out, She raised her voice to me and said "what time would you like?" YOU will have to pay for another night. I said, thank you, never mind I will take the 12. I went to get my belongings out at 11:45, my car was parked quite some distance away and when I went back to get the others the dismantled my keys and I was unable to get the rest of my bags. I drove to the front desk, I was the only person there and said I was unable to get my bags out of the room my keys have been disabled. She rudely said t me you were suppose to be out at 12:00 and I said it is 12:06. Really, and she sad are you checking out now, I said yes, I guess so I can't get in to get my bags. In the mean time a woman walked in and she said can you wait over there I was waiting on her. OMG, really? I waited and then she said I will get someone to escort you to get your bags? really! Like I was a thief or something. I was so appalled an embarrassed that I could get out of there fast enough. Horrible hotel. Service is so bad. Classless woman working at the desk. Also, there is very little beach, and there are no chairs on the beach. Yo have to carry your chaise lounges down a set of steep stairs yourself, there is no one to help you. Also there were never any clean towels for the pool or beach, I had to take them out of my room. Rooms are very dark and dreary.
The hotel itself is great. Directly facing the ocean, with a pool and a hot tub. This place is perfect for small families. The only thing I didn't like is that the buildings and the rooms look kind of old, but there were no real issues about that. Come here in early or late summer (It's way too full in July and August!) and you'll love it!
Incredible! We stayed in room 107...view and close to ocean. Room was like new with tons of space. Nice having little kitchen area. The room even had outdoor living area with table, 4 chairs and a round wicker soft that could easily fit 2 to 4 people. All the staff were exceptional!!!. Had prob elm with tv - Patriots game on and they came and fixed within 10 minutes. Definitely will highly recommend to anyone. In So. YARMOUTH SO CONVENIENT LOCATION. Thank you Ocean Mist Resort. If you go, Need to dine at the Skipper restaurant!
Got room next to water. Excellent. Quiet. We will be back. There was some issue in accessing meeting room for a 7am business call. But was able to use the front lobby as it was quiet.No restaurant in hotel or at walking distance. But lots of places with 5 mins drive.
A nice resort on the ocean. Very pleasant staff, nice amenities. A couple of problems at check in. They lost our reservation, had to settle for a queen instead of a king. When we got to our room the refrigerator was leaking. Just small problems which were fixed quickly. All in all I would recommend the resort.
