Great pier..well constructed and thoughtfully designed by the Division of Marine Fisheries..the only built- in summer drawback is the continuous boat traffic..it is very safe for kids and its location to beautiful Smugglers Beach is perfect.

This is the first of 5 beaches in South Yarmouth, MA. It is clean, has a fishing pier with a water source, and families enjoy bringing their children to use fishing poles and to try to catch crab. The boat launch area is well designed, and accommodates small to medium size boats for personal use. The swimming beach is a short walk from the pier and boat launch. The parking lot is large, but during tourist season, it fills before noon. The employees who staff the entrance gate will suggest other beaches or other parking lots when this parking lot is full. This beach also is the site of a large, beautiful sand sculpture that marks the opening of the summer season.
A bit pricey but the river is calm, great for kids.
Don't go here. I want it all to myself. Parking lot fills by 11 AM on holiday weekends. Nice staff at snack bar.
Relaxing views of Bass River and Nantucket Doing..many boats pass by ..people fish off pier..beach is swept each morning during summer months ..snack Bar and bathrooms available during the season .plenty of parking..you pay to park all summer 8 :00 am till 5:00 pm Memorial Day till Laybor Day..Water is warm as this is the South Side of Cape Cod...Bueatiful Sunsets and moon rises year round.
