Wonderful museum, full to the brim with artefacts from the Whydah wreck. Everything you saw had been saved and very carefully and skillfully restored. There were treasures there that I personally had never seen or known of before and insights into the pirate life and possessions that were so interesting. My favourite part was seeing the restoration process which was incredibly intricate.

The Whydah museum was very interesting and displays were well thought out. We visited yesterday (Tues) on a non-beach weather day. It was busy but flowed well. If you like reading the displays and talking with the on staff researcher about what they are working on its really cool. For a 3 year old they may rush you through it. There is a gift shop as well. Overall its a good destination.

Awesome! Videos and shows the actual science behind the discovery! A scientist was actually there reversing the cementing process on artifacts and explaining how it was done. I love this combination! Definitely recommend!

Thoroughly recommend it to anyone interested in pirates.

A pirate museum that isn’t kid friendly is asinine. Drove all the way from CT and paid way too much for a tiny museum. Thank god for pirate mini golf down the road. I wouldn’t even recommend this place for teens. It’s truly just a quick expensive trip for adults.

This was a surprisingly good museum! Often I feel that small niche topical museums don't show you enough to justify the price. This museum has a sizable number of impressive artifacts mixed with educational reading. It also possesses the largest collection of verified pirate treasure ever discovered. You can even touch some of the silver treasure! The museum is located in a small town next to some excellent restaurants right next to the water. It makes for a fun weekend roadtrip from NYC and is worth the drive.
